Biography:
Hazel Baillie was born in Dundee, Scotland in 1982. A recent graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, she received a BA Honours degree in Film and Television studies and also spent four months studying at Rhode Island School of Design, USA in 2003.
Her previous films include: Uno, a short documentary which was nominated for the Saltire Society Grierson Award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2002; and Be Gone With the Phone, winner of a competition sponsored by Nokia, Orange and EIFF for a 15 second mobile phone sting which was subsequently shown before every film at both the 2003 and 2004 festivals.
Hazel also worked at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2003 and as a post-production trainee on Richard Jobson's 16 Years of Alcohol. She is currently working as director/editor on the ‘making of' documentary for Richard Jobson's forthcoming film A Woman in Winter.
