Biography:
Faisal graduated in Film, Television and Photography from Napier University, Edinburgh in 2001.
His directing credits include True Passions for 3 Minute Wonders on Channel 4 (UK), When I’m 64? a documentary short for Triptych music festival and most recently shorts for Current TV.
His roles on BBC productions have included Production Coordinator, Researcher, 3rd AD, interviewer and Production Assistant on drama productions ranging from soap opera River City, prime time drama Sea of Souls and children’s drama Shoebox Zoo, to factual documentaries including Bloggers, Saints and Sinners and 50/50.
His non-BBC credits include 1st AD on short film Cotopaxi for Digicult (Bafta nominated, Berlin, Melbourne), producer for short drama Closing Time for Blue Mango Productions and director and producer for a corporate video for EU delegates, Seafish Industry.
Faisal has also been a professional freelance photographer since 2004.
