Recruitment: Administrator (FTE 1.0)

Administrator / Project coordinator (1.0 FTE)
Fixed term, 13,000 per annum pro rata (9 months), ideally
starting in February 2010.

The Scottish Documentary Institute (SDI) is an internationally recognised documentary research centre at Edinburgh College of Art, specialised in documentary training, production and distribution. SDI runs training initiatives such as the annual Bridging the Gap scheme funded by Scottish Screen and Skillset Film Skills Fund. We organise master classes, screenings, workshops and host many visiting filmmakers of international reputation in Edinburgh.

SDI is seeking to appoint an administrator to assist in the administration of SDI's core activities such as Bridging the Gap, Interdoc and other training and production initiatives.

This post offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a team which is passionate about documentary form, and education in documentary storytelling. You will work across every aspect of SDI, assisting in administration, training coordination, production and distribution. You will have a baseline understanding of the film / documentary industry, and strong communication and IT skills. You will be highly self-motivated and able to organise people, data and events. Social media and strong online skills highly desirable.
